Vikings Locker Room Report: Defense vs Denver

Updated: November 17, 2019 06:42 PM

The Vikings offense was nearly perfect in the second-half rally that beat Denver, but the offense's efforts would have meant little had the defense not held Denver to just three second-half points, setting up the Vikings largest comeback since 1992.

Despite the Vikings heroics on both sides of the ball, the Broncos still had a chance to win the game on their final possession.

After the Vikings touchdown put them up 27-23 with 6:01 left in the game, Denver received the kick and returned it to their own 40-yard-line.

The Broncos ran a staggering 19-plays on the drive, which included three 'and-goal' plays from the Vikings 4-yard line.  The final three plays were all throws into the end zone, but the Vikings defended all three to seal the win.
