Vikings Monday locker room report: Short week presents unique challenge

Updated: October 21, 2019 04:53 PM

It's a quick turnaround for the Vikings this week with a Thursday night nationally televised home game vs. Washington.

That was among a few topics addressed in the locker room on Monday, as players found a hole in their busy schedules to talk with reporters. Many players reported very early to TCO Performance Center for massages and acupuncture treatments, and figure to be in the building through dinnertime. Everything is condensed with the next game just a few days away. The beauty is the Vikings will have the weekend off.

But first, the goal is to get to 6-2 at the halfway point, which is the expectation. The Vikings are 16 point favorites vs. the 1-win Redskins.

The Vikings are expected to be without WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) on Thursday. A source tells KSTP that the MRI Monday morning didn't reveal anything major, and that Thielen should be ok for the November 3 game at Kansas City.

Thursday marks the first time Redskins QB Case Keenum will return to U.S. Bank Stadium since the Minneapolis Miracle game.
