Twins reliever Hildenberger embraces high-leverage role

Twins reliever Trevor Hildenberger leads the majors with 14 inherited runners this season, and only three have scored.

He talked to KSTP Sports on Monday about embracing his high-leverage role.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli plays matchups, which Hildenberger is fine with. But that also means he'll continue to come in with men on base from time-to-time. His slider, in particular, gives him full confidence in those situations.

Hildenberger signed a 1-year deal worth $572,500 in March.
