Twins Trade Fernando Rodney to Oakland

The Minnesota Twins announced Thursday they have traded pitcher Fernando Rodney to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for right-handed pitcher Dakota Chalmers.

The Twins added Rodney as a free agent this offseason. He appeared in 46 games, going 3-2 with a 3.09 ERA, 25 saves, 19 walks and 50 strikeouts.
