Twins Manager Molitor Expects Escobar Back in Lineup Saturday

June 22, 2018 07:55 PM

Twins third baseman Eduardo Escobar leads the majors with 32 doubles, and along with outfielder Eddie Rosario, has carried the team. But he wasn't in the lineup Friday after taking a pitch off of his right elbow in the first inning of Thursday's game.

Boston starter Rick Porcello plunked Escobar, and he had to leave the game. He couldn't play Friday, but should be back for Saturday's game.

Twins manager Paul Molitor also provided injury updates on Jorge Polanco and Ervin Santana before the series opener vs. Texas.
