Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli is one of three finalists for the American League Manager of the Year Award, the MLB announced on Monday.

In Baldelli's first season as a manager, Minnesota finished atop the AL Central with a 101-61 record. That's the second-most wins in franchise history, behind the 1965 team's 102 wins. The Twins' postseason run was short lived, however, as the Yankees swept them in three games in the AL Divisional Series.

The 2019 Twins set new MLB records for home runs in a season (307) and most players with 20 or more home runs in a season (8). They also set a single-season franchise record for runs scored (939).

Baldelli is joined by fellow finalists Aaron Boone, of the Yankees, and Kevin Cash, of the Rays. The winner will be announced Nov. 12 on MLB Network.
