Minnesota United will open the new stadium for the 2019 season. The exact opening date will depend on the Major League Soccer schedule, but should fall in late March or early April.

Among the features evident in the construction's halfway point

•The standing-only south supporters stand that will sit directly behind o a goal at one end of the stadium

•The north stands which will include a pub open to the field and a viewing deck above

•West stands which will include club and suite levels stacked on top of one another to offer close proximity to the playing field

•The stadium's unique lines - both on the interior and exterior of the stadium

•A majority of seats under cover from the roofline encircling the stadium

•A below streel-level playing surface that offers good sightlines from all angles

The first real excavation and construction work began on the stadium in June 2017, meaning the process reached the halfway point in around eleven months.

Construction crews are aiming for an October deadline to have the playing surface ready to lay the grass for the field.  The sod needs that much time to take hold in order to be ready for play by the 2019 season opener.
