#1 seed Totino-Grace (18-1-1) secured its second MSHSL Class A Boys' Championship on Thursday morning, defeating defending champion #2 St. Thomas Academy (15-2-3) 1-0 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The Eagles scored the game's only goal in the eighth minute when Collin Matzoll played the ball into the six yard box with Steevenson Lamarre finishing it with a header for the goal.

Philip Ronza earned the shutout for the Eagles in the net, registering three saves with two of them coming in the second half as the Cadets looked to even the game.
STA had a few excellent scoring opportunities in the second, but Ronza denied by Vernon Lovegreen's shot on the frame in the 57th minute. The save by Ronza set up a Cadets corner kick by Amanuel Bird, who played it into the box. After the two teams looked gain possession, it was STA's Logan Davis who played a header in the box just wide of the net. Davis had another look at a shot four minutes later that went wide, as well.
From there, St. Thomas Academy would get just one more shot and one corner kick the rest of the way in nearly 20 minutes of play as the Eagles put pressure on in the offensive end to keep the Cadets from advancing the ball to their field.
During that same time frame, Totino-Grace fired four shots and had a pair of corner kick attempts with STA keeper Jack Killian keeping the score within a goal.
In the final tally, each keeper registered three saves on the day. St. Thomas Academy finished with the 13-10 shot advantage and had a decisive 8-2 margin on corner kicks with the Eagle defense answering the pressure all morning.
