Wolves All-Star Butler at Shoot-Around: 'I Wanna Be Out There With My Soldiers'

The Timberwolves open their 30th season on Wednesday night in San Antonio, and All-Star Jimmy Butler will play. He talked with reporters after morning shoot-around at AT&T Center.

Butler requested a trade in a meeting with coach/president Tom Thibodeau on Sept. 18 in Los Angeles, and didn't return to practice until last Wednesday. He sat out Friday's preseason finale at Milwaukee, so Wednesday night will be his first game action of the season.

Thibodeau said he'll have to monitor Butler's minutes, although history suggests that instead of playing 40 minutes, he'll probably play something like 38.

The Vegas over/under on Wolves wins this year is 41.5.
