Thielen Wants Wins, Not Stats

October 18, 2018 05:30 PM

It's hard not to notice Adam Thielen's receiving statistics this season. Certainly Vikings fans and fantasy football owners are enjoying Thielen's numbers. But the one person who doesn't pay any attention to them is Adam Thielen.

"I could care less what my stats are a long as we're winning ballgames," Thielen said Thursday. "Numbers sometime mask how you're playing. Doesn't mean you're playing well, so you have to look at the tape and get better."

Thielen leads the NFL in receptions (58) and receiving yards (712) through six games and has also scored four touchdowns - matching his season total from a year ago.

"Teams are going to have a target on your back now and you have to continue to do the little things to make sure you're being successful. That's what I'm looking to do."
