Terry Bradshaw on Kirk Cousins: 'He Doesn't Light My Fire'

Kirk Cousins had a solid debut for the Vikings on Sunday, but four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw doesn't think the Vikings signed the right quarterback in the offseason.

Bradshaw liked what he saw out of Case Keenum last season and believes he should have been brought back, which would have saved the Vikings some money.

"I don't know why you gave up on him (Keenum)," Bradshaw told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Sports Director Joe Schmit during a satellite interview on Thursday. "He was perfect for the Vikings."

Cousins signed a three-year worth a fully guaranteed $84 million with the Vikings. Keenum signed a two-year, $36 million deal ($25 million guaranteed) with the Denver Broncos after leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game.

"He (Cousins) doesn't light my fire," Bradshaw told Schmit. "Nice quarterback... I just don't get stirred up for him. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll say it if I am."

Bradshaw won four Super Bowls as the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He may not be a huge fan of Cousins, but he's fully behind Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.

"He would be someone I could play for," Bradshaw said. "I like his seriousness, too. I want a coach that demands the best out of me."

Bradshaw and Pfizer Sr. Vice President Dr. Williams Gruber were on a satellite media tour in to an effort to make sure baby boomers who are 65 or older know about the risk and importance of protecting themselves against pneumococcal pneumonia.
