St. Thomas Academy hoping to return to Prep Bowl

The St. Thomas Academy Cadets made it to the Prep Bowl last November, and feel like they have a real chance to make another significant run in 2019.

2019 started with a bang, as the Cadets shutout Coon Rapids, 34-0.

We were at a recent Cadets practice in Mendota Heights -- STA is very close to the Vikings' training facility -- and talked with second year coach Dan O'Brien and senior safety Stephen Betts.

The Cadets lost in the 5A title game last year to Owatonna, 14-3.

They return to action on Friday night, at rival Henry Sibley.
