St. Thomas Academy Football Too Much for Mahtomedi

The St. Thomas Academy Cadets football team defeated the Mahtomedi Zephyrs 21-0 Friday evening in Mendota Heights.

The Zephyrs had a strip sack on the Cadets early in the first quarter, but then the Cadets took over from that point forward.

Senior running back Brendan McFadden ran free all game. His first touchdown came in the second quarter on a four-yard run to put the Cadets up 7-0. In the third quarter, he had a 45-yard touchdown run to put St. Thomas up 14-0. McFadden finished with 168 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns.
