There are heavy hearts in the St. Michael-Albertville community.

A longtime youth hockey coach passed away over the weekend.

Coach Harv Graczyk suffered a traumatic brain injury after falling on the ice and hitting his head last month. Graczyk spent weeks recovering in the hospital but died Saturday.

Fellow coaches say Graczyk not only taught kids about hockey but about life off the ice.

"That's one thing Harv would certainly be proud of is hopefully teaching kids to learn life lessons outside of hockey," youth hockey coach Brian Sutlief said. "A lot of people pretty devastated. Not the outcome anybody was hoping for. We're all praying for him."

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Coach Harv's family to help pay for medical expenses and funeral costs.
