Rosemount Sophomore WR Jonathan Mann on Committing to Gophers

April 25, 2018 12:00 PM

Rosemount high school wide receiver Jonathan Mann didn't need to wait another 12-18 months to know that playing for the Gophers is meant to be. So he committed recently to head coach P.J. Fleck, becoming the face of the 2020 Gophers recruiting class.

KSTP Sports' Darren Wolfson recently talked with Mann, so click play above to see the interview and sophomore year highlights.

Mann, who is 6-feet-4 and 190 pounds, had visited the Gophers four times this year, and by the last trip to Dinkytown, knew that's where he wanted to play his college football. Mann turned down offers from Arkansas, Iowa, and Iowa State, and if he had waited to pick his college, his offer list would've increased big-time.

Mann led 6A in receiving yards last year, and he might still grow another inch or two.

Mann has a desire to get into broadcast journalism once he gets to campus, which he touches on in the above interview.
