The Gophers are ranked 15th in the preseason AP poll, the first time they've been ranked to start the season since 2009. The Gophers will have all five starters back, as they try and improve on last year's 24-13 record.

The starting five will be Nate Mason, Dupree McBrayer, Amir Coffey, Jordan Murphy, and Reggie Lynch, with Isaiah Washington playing heavy minutes off the bench. Davonte Fitzgerald, Michael Hurt, Bakary Konate, and Jamir Harris also figure to see spot action.
