NFL Network's Ian Rapaport is reporting that the Vikings are not expected to franchise tag quarterback Case Keenum.

That means he will hit the free agent market on March 14 unless the Vikings sign him to a long-term contract extension.

The Vikings have until March 6 to make a decision on the franchise tag. They went 12-3 in games that Keenum played in 2017.

He took over following an injury to starter Sam Bradford and threw for 3,457 yards, completed 67 percent of his passes and ended the year with a 98.3 quarterback rating.
