Rachel Banham is Back in Town to Face the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday

The Minnesota Lynx is trying to bounce back after a loss to Las Vegas on Friday night. In order to do that, they'll have to beat the Connecticut Sun and Minnesota native Rachel Banham.

"I always love coming back to Minnesota and to be there on my birthday is extra special. I have about 30 friends and family members who will be here to watch me play and support me, it'll be a great day for me," says Rachel Banham.

Banham loves playing against the hometown team because she gets to play against some of the best players in the league. She says it's fun to be on the same floor as the players she grew up watching.

"They're a good team. I know this season has been tough on both teams. The parity in the league has been very noticeable. Not many teams are getting a lot of traction. Anyone can win on any given night," adds Banham.

Banham turns 25 years old today. She had a decorated career at Lakeville North High School before playing for the University of Minnesota and then moving on to play in the WNBA. She's been with the Sun since 2016.
