Destiny Pitts scored 23 of her game-high 27 points in the second half as the Gophers women's basketball team beat Purdue 65-45 Thursday night in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Kenisha Bell added 17 points and nine rebounds for Minnesota. The Gophers have now won five straight games and are 7-7 in the Big Ten.


The Gophers outscored Purdue 20-2 in the fourth quarter. Minnesota hots Penn State Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at Williams ARena.
