Football is coming back to Target Field.

The Minnesota Twins and North Dakota State announced Monday that NDSU will play host to Butler on Aug. 31 of next year.

The game will be the season opener for both teams. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.

It marks the second college football game to be played at the Minnesota Twins home stadium. MIAC archrivals St. Thomas and St. John's played there last season - a game that smashed the existing Division III attendance record by drawing a crowd of 37,355.
