Wild centerman Victor Rask excited for new start

The Minnesota Wild traded for centerman Victor Rask on Thursday. He skated with the Wild Saturday morning before they faced the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Rask said that he was excited to get a fresh start with the Wild. In 26 games this year with the Carolina Hurricanes, Rask totaled one goal and five assists. He did miss the beginning of the year due to an injury sustained while he was preparing a meal and he cut himself.

In his 339 career games, Rask has 63 goals and 100 assists.
