The Minnesota Wild are re-signing one of their centers.

On Wednesday, the organization said they have re-signed center Joel Eriksson Ek to a two-year, $2,975,000 million contract.

Eriksson Ek, 22, tallied 14 points and 20 penalty minutes in 58 games with Minnesota last season. The 6 foot 2, 208-pound native of Karlstad, Sweden set a career-high in many categories, including goals (7), game winning goals (2), faceoffs won (247) and ranked third in hits on the team (117).

More Wild News

He also has appeared in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Wild.

Minnesota selected Eriksson Ek in the first round (20th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
