The Minnesota Wild will open the 2019-20 regular season at Nashville on Oct. 3, the first of three straight and six games out of the first seven on the road.

The NHL regular season schedule was officially released Tuesday, and Minnesota is slated to play 17 of its first 26 games away from the Xcel Energy Center.

The team's nine home games in October and November are the fewest in franchise history, according to a release from the team.

But, they'll play 11 of 12 games at home over a month-long stretch around the All-Star Break from January 16th to February 15th.  That run includes the second-longest homestand in team history - a seven-game set with four before the All-Star Break and three more after.

The Wild's home opener is scheduled for Oct. 12 against Pittsburgh.

The team ends the regular season with a four-game roadtrip that concludes in Nashville on April 4. The season-ending roadie begins with trips to St. Louis, the N.Y. Islanders and Washington. The Wild's NHL-mandated five-day "bye week" immediately follows the All-Star Game running from January 27th to January 31st.
