The Minnesota Vikings are bringing back a familiar face to add to its defense.
The team has claimed safety Andrew Sendejo after he was released by Philadelphia earlier this week, the team announced on Wednesday.
Sendejo, now in his 10th year in the league, played nine games for the Eagles, making one start, this season.
Sendejo joined the Vikings in 2011 and started all 40 games he played in for the Vikings from 2015-2017, recording five interceptions and 14 pass breakups.
The San Antonio, Texas native, played his first two NFL games for the Cowboys, who the Vikings will face Sunday night.
To make room on the roster for Sendejo, the team waived rookie safety Marcus Epps.
