The Minnesota Twins announced Thursday that right-handed pitcher Michael Pineda has been reinstated from the 10-day Injured List. Right-handed pitcher Randy Dobnak was optioned to Triple-A Rochester to make room on the roster for Pineda.

Pineda missed the past 12 Twins games with a right triceps strain. This season, he's started 21 games, going 7-5 with a 4.15 ERA (117.0 IP, 54 ER), 23 walks and 103 strikeouts. Prior to suffering his injury, Pineda went 3-2 with a 2.72 ERA (53.0 IP, 16 ER), 12 walks, 50 strikeouts, a .237 opponent batting average and six quality starts from June 13-August 1.
