Washburn's Emily Covert Sets New State Record in 3200 Meters

Minneapolis Washburn's Emily Covert set a new Minnesota state high school record when she won the girls 3200 Meter Final with a time of 10:06.19. On the boys side, Khalid Hussein from Wayzata won with a time of 9:07.88.

Covert beat the previous state record time of 10:16.59 set by Elizabeth Yetzer of Lakeville.  


To round out the top three for the girls, Lauren Peterson of Farmington took second with a time of 10:40.46. Grace Dickel of Minneapolis Washburn took third with a time of 10:48.28.

On the boys side, Maxwell Manley of Edina finished second with a time of 9:08.90. Joseph Minor of Minneapolis Washburn took third with a time of 9:13.08.
