Vikings coach Mike Zimmer met with reporters on Wednesday morning, and KSTP Sports was there.

Zimmer defended quarterback Kirk Cousins, who struggled in Sunday's loss at Green Bay.

"He's going to be fine," Zimmer said. "We have the utmost confidence in him."

Zimmer provided an injury update on cornerback Mike Hughes, saying he's been practicing a lot. The final hurdle is a thumbs-up from the team doctor. Hughes tore multiple knee ligaments in game last October, and is itching to return to game action.

The 1-1 Vikings host the 1-1 Raiders Sunday at noon. The Vikings are 8-point favorites.
