The Minnesota Twins have a re-signed free agent starting pitcher Michael Pineda to a two-year, $20 million contract, a source tells KSTP's Darren Wolfson.

Pineda emerged as one of the Twins most consistent starters last season posting an 11-5 record with a 4.01 ERA, but his season was cut short when he received a 60-game suspension after testing positive for a banned substance. Pineda has 39 games left to serve on the suspension, so he will not pitch for the Twins until mid-May.

Pineda's deal is pending a physical.

The Chicago White Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants all expressed interest in signing Pineda.
