Lynx' Shepard out for season with torn ACL

The Minnesota Lynx announced rookie forward Jessica Shepard will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee during Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks.

Shepard was averating 4.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season.
