Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve talked with KSTP's Joe Schmit this week about pupil Lindsay Whalen's coaching debut.

A sellout crowd of nearly 15,000 people will be on hand Friday night at the Barn, as the Gophers host New Hampshire.

After weeks of practices and team-bonding, the Gophers women are excited to play a real game,

Reeve, who's a Gophers season-ticket holder, will miss Friday night's game due to a previously planned vacation. But you can bet that she'll be in attendance plenty this season.

Whalen played for Reeve with the Lynx for nine years, and undoubtedly a lot of Whalen's coaching style will mirror her mentor's.
