Lakeville North is the defending 6A champs from 2018, and they picked up where they left off by beating Woodbury 24-7 on Thursday night, in Woodbury.

Raja Nelson was the force on offense -- he's listed as a running back in the program -- but he ran the show for the Panthers at quarterback. Nelson had two rushing touchdowns, played defense and even saw some time on special teams.

Special teams came up big in the third quarter when Lakeville North's Landon Carter blocked Woodbury's Josh Simons punt and Panthers defensive back Jacob Young fell on the ball in the end zone to give Lakeville North a 17-0 lead.

Lakeville North went up 24-0 thanks to a Nelson touchdown. Nelson ran up the middle and went untouched into the end zone. Nelson finished with 16 carries for 109 yards. He also went 5-12 for 37 yards passing.
