Mikko Koivu returned to Wild practice on Friday and has a good chance to play against Calgary on Saturday.

Koivu spent extensive time rehabbing at the Wild's St Paul practice facility trying to return from a leg injury he suffered December 6 on a hit by Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano.

"He, (Giordano) apologized, it was a classy move by him, I've played against him before. I don't think he meant to do that, things happen quick trying to win every battle, every game, so that's part of the game. He texted me and apologized and now we move on," says Mikko Koivu.

Koivu has missed the Wild's last three games recovering from the hit.
