The Pioneers got off to a quick start in the first. Senior forward Katie Kaufman took advantage of a breakaway to put the Pioneers up 2-0 after the first frame.

Senior forward Haylee Blinkhorn continued the scoring for Hill-Murray in the second to extend the lead to 3-0. However, the Raiders showed some fight, as senior forward Sarah Bergman scored to cut the deficit to 3-1.

But, the Pioneers answered back before the second period ended when junior forward Nina Steigauf scored to put Hill-Murray up 4-1.

The Pioneers held onto the lead in the final period and now will face the White Bear Lake Bears on Friday evening at Aldrich Arena for the opportunity to advance to the state tournament.
