Gophers Coach Whalen on 2-0 Start, Defensive Effort, Recruiting Class, More

After holding New Hampshire to just 47 points in the season opener and Xavier to 53 points Wednesday, the Gophers have now held consecutive opponents under 60 points for the first time since Dec. of 2015.

We talked with coach Lindsay Whalen before practice on Friday about her team's defense, the great play of Kenisha Bell and Annalese Lamke, being ranked in the top-25, and her 2019 recruiting class that includes five signees.

The Gophers host San Diego Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Their next road game isn't until December 9 at Boston College.
