The Gophers are in the Round of 32 for the first time since 2012, and will play Michigan State Saturday at 6:45 p.m. in Des Moines.

KSTP Sports' Joe Schmit is with the team, and talked to a few players in the locker room on Friday afternoon.

The Gophers lost by 24 points in February in East Lansing. But the Gophers are a different team now, and don't have to worry about the unfriedly confines of the Breslin Center.

If wondering why the Gophers can play a Big Tean team in the Round of 32, it's allowed since they only played the Spartans once in the regular season. If you play a conference team twice in the regular season, you couldn't play them in the NCAA Tournament until the Sweet 16.
