Gophers Coach Fleck Addresses Change at Defensive Coordinator

Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck addressed the firing of defensive coordinator Robb Smith at his weekly Tuesday afternoon news conference. Smith was let go on Sunday, with defensive line coach Joe Rossi elevated to interim defensive coordinator.

The Gophers have allowed 42, 48, 30, 53, 38, and 55 points the last six games, as they are 1-5 in the Big Ten.


The Gophers have three regular season games left, needing two wins to become eligible. They host Purdue at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Gophers have allowed

Purdue is a 12 point favorite. Tanner Morgan is expected to start at quarterback once again.
