The Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament.
The team was announced as a 10-seed in the tournament's East Region on Sunday evening, and will play Louisville on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa. The game is scheduled to tip at 11:15 a.m. (CT).
It's the Gophers' first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2016-17 season, where the team lost to Middle Tennessee State in the first round.
The Gophers haven't won a game in the Tournament since the 2012-13 season when the team beat UCLA in the first round before losing to Florida in the second round.
This year, the Gophers are 21-13 overall (9-11 in conference play), and finished seventh in the Big Ten regular season standings. The Gophers beat Penn State and Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament, on Thursday and Friday, respectively, before losing to Michigan on Saturday.
