Former Gophers linebacker Blake Cashman of Eden Prairie is anxious for this week's NFL Draft. He's expected to go in the middle rounds, with the Vikings, Bengals, Colts, Saints, and Titans, Patriots, and Redskins showing the most interest.

KSTP Sports caught up with Cashman and Ryan Englebert, his trainer at ETS Performance.

Cashman earned lots of playing time as a sophomore for the Gophers in 2016, and led them to a win in the Holiday Bowl over Washington State. He turned into a third-team All-Big Ten linebacker as a senior with over 100 tackles. Cashman also registered 15 tackles for loss last year to go with 2.5 sacks and five passes defended.

At the Combine in February, he finished top-5 among linebackers in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, 20-yard shuttle, and broad jump.

In addition to being a solid linebacker, Cashman has proven that he can make an impact on special teams.
