The University of Minnesota dance team has added yet another national title.

During competition at the 2019 UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship this past weekend in Orlando, the Gophers captured a 19th national championship in the Jazz Division.


Ohio State finished second, Arizona State finished third, Tennessee was fourth and Washington State finished fifth.

The Gophers also finished second to Ohio State in the Pom Division. The team has finished first or second in Pom in each of the past 10 years and has finished in the top two in the Jazz Division for each of the past four.

Goldy Gopher also finished second to Ohio State's Brutus Buckeye in the mascot competition and the Gophers finished second to UNLV in the Cheer Game Day Results (All Girl Division) competition.
