The University of Minnesota Gopher men's hockey team will add a sticker on their helmets this weekend in remembrance of Patric Vitek, the Eagan Hockey Association confirmed.
Vitek, 13, died after his bicycle was struck by a car Friday in Eagan. The logo on the sticker will feature a "V" in front of a ribbon emblazoned with Eagan hockey's team colors, blue and green.
Vitek was a member of Eagan hockey's peewee A team, and he had played in the Eagan Hockey Association since he was at the mite level, the organization said in a statement Friday.

A GoFundMe has been created for the family. The Eagan Hockey Association also tweeted out a list of restaurants that have agreed to donate half of their earnings this weekend to help the Vitek family.
