Minnetonka answered midway through the second quarter. Quarterback Aaron Syverson scored from a yard out and the Skippers were only down 7-6 at halftime.

Future Gopher Cole Kramer threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to tight end Matt Sherman as Eden Prairie took a 15-6 lead in the third quarter, but Minnetonka answered again when Syverson scored from 10-yards out to make it a 15-13 game.

Minnetonka was still down by two late in the fourth quarter when Syverson had his pass intercepted by Will Becker. Eden Prairie was able to run out the clock after that to seal the 15-13 win.

Eden Prairie beat Minnetonka 38-17 in the Class 6A championship game last year. Eden Prairie will face the winner of Blaine-Eastview in the state semifinals.
