East Ridge basketball star Ben Carlson reacts to committing to Wisconsin

East Ridge High School basketball senior forward Ben Carlson announced on Wednesday that he will play his college basketball for the University of Wisconsin, and KSTP Sports talked to him soon after.

Carlson chose the Badgers over Xavier, Stanford, Iowa State, Purdue, and Minnesota. 

Carlson's committment comes a day after fellow Twin Cities native Steven Crowl of Eastview also committed to play basketball for Wisconsin. 

Carlson averaged 16.6 points and 11.3 rebounds as a junior and is ranked number 88 in ESPN's top-100 2020 recruits.
