The Chaska Hawks improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 28-7 victory over rival Chanhassen on Friday night. Both defenses gave very little ground in the first quarter, then in the second quarter Chaska jumped on the Grif Wurtz train. Wurtz scored on two quarterback keepers from 1 yard out and he also threw a touchdown pass to Colden Dodds that gave the Hawks all they'd need to beat Chanhassen.

Chaska recovered two fumbles on kickoffs that led to fourteen points. From the defensive side, the star was senior Michael Brown that broke up three passes and he also had an interception that led to a Wurtz touchdown run in the third quarter.
