Updated: August 26, 2019 09:12 PM

Jalen Travis has two older brothers who played Division I college basketball, but Jalen's path to a scholarship figures to be on the football field.

Travis, A 6'7" offensve tackle for DeLaSalle, has more immediate goals though. First and foremost, he wants to improve on the Islanders' 4-6 record from the 2018.

"We're looking for our line to basically carry our team all the way," Travis told KSTP's Darren Wolfson. "We're pretty solid up front. I'm just looking to pound the rock this year."

Travis has offers from the Gophers and Iowa State among other schools. DeLaSalle opens the 2019 high school football season at home against Simley on Friday night.
