Anthony Barr changes mind, will return to Vikings; Latavius Murray lands in New Orleans

In a stunning turn of events, linebacker Anthony Barr has backed out of his verbal commitment to sign with the Jets, and will return to the Vikings.

A source with direct knowledge told our Darren Wolfson that the Vikings are giving Barr a 5-year deal worth $67.5 million, with $33 million guaranteed. The Jets offered more, the source said, but Barr loves playing in Minnesota.

The Vikings upped their offer to Barr in the last 24 hours.

The Vikings did lose a second player on Tuesday with running back Latavius Murray heading to New Orleans on a 4-year deal, per ESPN. They lost defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson to the Browns earlier in the day.
