Two Minnesotans took second and third place during the U.S. women's gymnastics championships.

Sixteen-year-old Sunisa Lee, of St. Paul, took second place and 16-year-old Grace McCallum, born in Cambridge and who calls Isanti her hometown, took third in the competition.

The two Minnesotans won their respective medals in the all-around competition.

Twenty-two-year-old Simone Biles took first, for her sixth national championship.

Lee's total was 113.550 and McCallum's total was 111.850.

Lee and 2017 world champion Morgan Hurd were the only women in the field to place ahead of Biles on any event, finishing one-two on bars, solidifying their chances of joining Biles at world championships in Germany in October in the process.
