Great artists like Rembrandt and Van Gogh have inspired many over the years.
An artist from Stillwater has his own inspiring story.
Michael DeMeglio is deaf but, with the help of hearing aids, he paints the sounds of music.
"When I listen to music and stuff, I see colors," DeMeglio said. "That's when all these colors started to kind of pop into my head but I never understood it."
DeMeglio's hearing aids are connected by Bluetooth to his phone, and he usually listens to jazz music while painting.
"Somehow, I always came back to jazz," DeMeglio said. "Part of the reason is it's very similar to, like, an impressionist painting."
