Gov. Tim Walz has ordered all state and U.S. flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service in Washington, D.C.

"The President of the United States of America has ordered that the flags be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, October 16, 2021, in honor of the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service being held in Washington D.C," the proclamation issued by Walz states. "We remember and pay respect to law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty and their families."
