At Issue: May 20 - Final Hours of Legislative Session; Gov. Dayton, Legislative Leaders in Studio

May 20, 2018 07:35 PM

We are now in the final hours of the 2018 Legislative Session. Not surprisingly, lawmakers and Gov. Mark Dayton seem headed for an impasse on the issues they consider their top priorities. It's very possible the session will end without agreements on a tax conformity bill, emergency school funding, school safety improvements and a bonding bill for public works projects around the state.

Dayton and four legislative leaders - Rep. Joyce Peppin (R-Rogers), Rep. Liz Olson (DFL-Duluth), Sen. Paul Gazelka (R-Nisswa) and Sen. Jeff Hayden (DFL-Minneapolis) - join Tom Hauser in studio to discuss all the end-of-session developments that leaders will address Sunday.
