As the Minnesota Legislature inches toward budget bill agreements, the state's financial deadline of July 1 is rapidly approaching.

On Saturday night, the DFL-controlled House passed three separate budget bills, but lawmakers still have to pass about a dozen major funding measures. This week on "At Issue," we look into a few of the bills that haven't yet passed — and where negotiations stand. Tax breaks, police accountability and a so-called "off-ramp" to Gov. Tim Walz's eviction moratorium still need legislative approval.

The possible state government shutdown is just 10 days away, but everyone from the governor to Republican Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka and DFL House Speaker Melissa Hortman — and our political analysts — believe lawmakers will get their work done in time.

Sen. Rich Draheim, R-Madison Lake, and Rep. Paul Marquart, DFL-Dilworth, explain the ins and outs of the bills they negotiated.
